HK Designs was founded in 1933 by Howard Keith, and established a name for high‑quality upholstered furniture products, becoming recognised across the UK for premium office seating, designer lounge chairs and expert craftsmanship within the commercial furniture industry.

Chairs such as the Encore, Viking and Simplon ensured their position as one of the country’s top furniture designers and manufacturers in the 40’s and 50’s, celebrated for iconic British furniture design, luxury upholstered seating, and innovative approaches to contract‑grade office furniture.

In the 1970’s HK Designs started manufacturing high‑end conference tables, executive office desks and boardroom furniture, and became known for exceptional craftsmanship, quality and design across the executive furniture and corporate workspace sectors.
